DISCOVER THE MEMORIES OF THE EPIC AUSTERLITZ BATTLE

The hills around the farm and Slavkov castle are the epic stage of the famous Battle of the Three Emperors during the Napoleonic wars: AUSTERLITZ.
On 2nd december 1805, the french Emperor Napoleon I, Csar Alexander I of Russia and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II clashed in an epic duel that re-shaped the destiny of Europe . Outnumbered by 70.000 allied troops versus his 14000 skilled soldiers, Napoleon managed to quickly destroy the enemy armies with modern tactics, wit and masterpiece coordination. The armistice was signed in the monumental baroque castle of Austerlitz (Slavkov), where Napoleon established his temporary residence. Beside the treasures of the original furniture, the castle’s park ranks among the most valuable historical gardens in Moravia.
